Oak Moth Inspiration & Coloring Page

You bought the Oak Moth pattern and now you're stuck figuring out what fabric to use in your quilt...No fear, I'm here to the rescue!

Pinterest is plentiful in color scheme inspiration so I pulled three pins from my Color Inspo Board and made some Oak Moth mock ups with them! Technically the Oak Moth quilt uses 10 different fabrics (including background), so I used these color schemes more as a jumping off point and then added two additional colors to complete the mock up.

So, pull out those Kona/Pure Solids/Bella Solids/Cotton Couture swatch cards (My favorite shop to get them from is Woven and Woolley!) and start matching!

Here's the first mock up! I love the contrast between the pinks, purples and oranges and just how more colorful it is in general. I threw in the blue/green color and white background to complete the mock up.

The second mock up! I really wanted to do a mock up with a dark background to simulate a night sky. I went for a dark teal instead of the typical navy, black, or grey to compliment that blue/green from the color palette.

And the third mock up! I SUPER love the soft, neutral vibes in this color palette! So much so that I'm seriously contemplating making this version asap 😍

If you're wanting to create your own custom mock up, utilize the Oak Moth coloring page below! Click on the coloring page to automatically download and print the coloring page file.
