Staying Organized During a QAL

Staying Organized During a QAL

Staying Organized During a QAL

THE FOLK BLOOMS QAL STARTS AUGUST 27TH! SIGN UP HERE!

I consider myself a pretty organized person, but staying organized during a QAL can be a struggle sometimes. Especially one that's 6+ weeks long. So, I went on a mission to find a better plan to stay organized for the upcoming Folk Blooms QAL and here's what I came up with...

Usually I just throw everything into a large scrapbooking container (similar to these HERE - which work and I will still use for the border pieces, sashing, pattern etc), but eventually all of the little pieces get mixed up together and just become an overall mess. So I thought, wouldn't smaller, maybe stackable, containers to organize the pieces for each week be more helpful??

I *technically* don't know the answer to that yet 😂, BUT I'm feeling very hopeful!

I found these containers on Amazon. I love their size, that they're stackable, have a lid (a clear one too - bonus!), and are something I can reuse over and over again. I labeled them Week 2, Week 3, etc. with my DYMO label maker to avoid confusion later. I like that the labels are easy to remove if necessary. I also love that I can store the finished units from each week in the containers too!

I'm also using Quilt Letters that I got from a Stitch Supply Co. advent calendar to label my pieces. The pattern comes with printable labels, but these are, well, much cuter 😆 Valid reason right?

I'm feeling VERY optimistic. Can you tell? 😂
