Growing is a traditionally pieced quilt that can be made in three sizes - Baby (40" square), throw (59 3/4" x 79 1/2"), and bed (79 1/2" x 99 1/2").
Quilt kits for the cover version are available from Pear Tree Market!
The Growing quilt was longarmed by @StuphFromSteph using Julie Hirt's Mini City of Fountains panto. I went with a pink thread that matched the pink in the quilt for the quilting. The pink is so subtle, but I love how it blends in so well with all the other colors of the quilt.
Despite the flowers in this quilt being coneflowers, the Growing quilt was initially inspired by my Fresh as a Daisy block! I was also inspired by this tulip quilt I saw on Urban Outfitters a while ago. I really loved the idea of an on-point layout where the flower is growing from the bottom point of the block. While I think my design would also look great with low volume prints as the background, for the cover quilt I wanted to do a more modern take on it instead.
