New! The All Spruced Up Quilt Pattern

New! The All Spruced Up Quilt Pattern

New! The All Spruced Up Quilt Pattern

I know summer JUST started and the holidays are 6 months away, but if you wanted to pretend like it's not a million degrees outside AND get a head start on your holiday quilt then I got the pattern for you!

Introducing All Spruced Up! The quilt is traditionally pieced and can be made in a throw (53 1/2" x 71") and twin size (70 1/2" x 84"). Kits for the pattern are available on my site HERE! You can save 20% on your order until June 5th with the code ALLSPRUCEDUP.

All Spruced Up is also fat quarter friendly! A great pattern to finally use up those Christmas fat quarters you've been hoarding. (No judgment, I'm guilty of hoarding those cute holiday prints too!)
All Spruced Up was inspired by vintage bottle brush trees - Hence the base and extra thin trunk on the tree blocks. I think they totally pass as Christmas trees in a tree lot too!
After a few iterations, I eventually decided a snow block was needed to complete the design. I love how it really helps set the scene AKA make it look even more like a happy, magical winter wonderland.
Fun fact - My asterisk block has now been a flower in Fresh as a Daisy and Chance of Rain, a sewing machine stitch in Sewology, and now a snowflake in All Spruced Up! Love how versatile this block is.
The cover quilt was made in Kona solids and the backing fabric is a Carolina Gingham in Candy Pink! Check out my blog post HERE to see the All Spruced Up quilts my testers made in holiday prints! You can create a digital mock up of All Spruced Up in whatever colors and prints you want on PreQuilt HERE too!
All Spruced Up was longarmed by @StuphFromSteph using the Quilting Mill's Drift panto. I think the panto does a good job of adding an extra layer to the snow-y scene I was going for. And it's hard to tell in the photos, but I used a light mint thread for the quilting. I really love how it turned out!
This quilt was so quick to piece that I was able to make two of them before release day! I might love the second All Spruced Up quilt even more than the cover version. If you're a fan of retro Christmas color palettes, I think you'll love it too! Head to my blog post HERE to see pics of it!

Hope you guys like the new pattern and have fun making it! If you have any questions about today's blog post, don't hesitate to reach out to me at info@penandpaperpatterns.com!
