Introducing the Oak Moth Quilt Pattern!
I love to design quilts that are inspired by nature and have wanted to create a woodland themed quilt for quite awhile now - hence how Oak Moth came about!
The moth blocks are made on point and are rotated in different directions giving the added feeling of flight or movement. I added the fern leaf blocks to add more dimension to the woodland design and give the illusion that the moths are flying amongst the leaves.
The quilt finishes 57" x 67 1/2", is traditionally pieced, and recommended for the intermediate quilter and up. The pattern includes diagrams for making a single moth or fern block and thorough instruction and illustrations are on every page for constructing the quilt. The quilt looks great in solids, prints, and there are many fussy cutting opportunities! Specifically on those moth wings! 😍
The fabric requirements are shown below, as well as a list of the Kona solids I used in the pattern cover version.
