The Apple Orchard Quilt Pattern

The Apple Orchard Quilt Pattern

Introducing my latest pattern - the Apple Orchard Quilt! 🍎 The PDF and printed copy of this pattern are available HERE! Use the discount code APPLEORCHARD15 for 15% off the pattern or anything else on my site and in my Etsy shop! Discount code expires August 1st!

If the pattern looks familiar that's because it's a traditionally pieced spin on my Apple Core Mini pattern that I released in 2016. I've wanted to do this version for awhile now and a few months ago the stars finally aligned and I was able to make it happen! I LOVE how it turned out! Hope you all love it too!Recently I've really enjoyed designing holiday/seasonal patterns so I gave this pattern some Fall vibes with plaid-inspired sashing and cornerstones. The pattern looks super cute in non-traditional fall colors too - check them out in Ruby Star Society's upcoming Smol line below! Kits for these versions are available for preorder from Sewtopia HERE!

And if waiting until October for a Smol kit sounds like torture, I also mocked up the pattern in Kona solids! These are available from Sewtopia too! The solids needed for each version are listed below the mock up.(Kona Solids used are: White for the background, Marmalade for the Outer Apple Peel, Creamsicle for the Inner Apple Peel, Ochre for the Leaf and Cornerstones, Petal for Sashing, and Medium Gray for both the Stem and Seeds)(Kona Solids used are: White for the background, Creamsicle for the Outer Apple Peel, Ice Peach for the Inner Apple Peel, Pickle for the Leaf and Cornerstones, Ivory for Sashing, Graphite for the seeds, and Cedar for the Stem)(Kona Solids used are: White for the background, Wasabi for the Outer Apple Peel, Maize for the Inner Apple Peel, Pickle for the Leaf and Cornerstones, Lighthouse for Sashing, Raisin for the seeds, and Gold for the Stem)(Kona Solids used are: White for the background, Coral for the Outer Apple Peel, Clementine for the Inner Apple Peel, Cabbage for the Leaf and Cornerstones, Honey for Sashing, Pewter for the seeds, and Shitake for the Stem)

And if those Kona options weren't enough, here are two more kits using a combo of prints and solids (that you can get right now 🙌) from Sewtopia! They are available HERE!

I think this pattern is obviously awesome for Fall, but wouldn't it also be a fun gift for your favorite teacher? Which is why I've decided to include the Pencil Block pattern from my Sewology BOM as a bonus in the PDF Apple Orchard pattern. The Pencil Block is also traditionally pieced and measures 5 3/4” x 39 1/2”.  I think it would be SO cute to customize the pencil with the teacher's name, quilt info and then make a pieced backing with it 😍

And not only is the Pencil Block included in the PDF version, but I'm also throwing in my Clementine Block pattern (pictured above). The Clementine Block pattern finishes 18" square, which is slightly bigger than the Apple Orchard Block, but trim the Clementine Block down and you could swap it out for any of the Apple Orchard blocks in the quilt 👌

So, that's three patterns for the price of one when you purchase the PDF Apple Orchard Pattern! Smokin' deal if I do say so myself 😉

Now time for all of the important pattern info! The Apple Orchard quilt is traditionally pieced and finishes 66" x 70 1/2" and also includes instructions for piecing a single block. Great for pillows, minis, or sewing from your stash! I consider this pattern suitable for an advanced beginner sewist meaning I recommend having at least completed 1-2 quilts before attempting this. Fabric requirements are below!

Again, I hope you all love this pattern! And more importantly, have fun making it! I'm working on my second version right now and am having more fun than I did the first time around. So much fun that I can't wait to make a third!
I'll be sharing my latest version soon! Follow me on IG to see the progress pics!
See ya' soon!
🧡 Lindsey
