Hello Spring is a traditionally pieced quilt for the confident beginner sewist and up! The ladybug & flower inspired pattern includes instructions for making 3 different quilt options - One baby size (45 1/2" x 56") and two throw sizes (58" x 68 1/2")!

The Hello Spring quilt was designed in honor of my best friend of 35 years, Shelby. Her nickname growing up was "bug" which is short for ladybug. I've been wanting to design something ladybug themed because of that for awhile now. Since the theme is so meaningful to me, it was especially important that I was 110% happy with the design before turning it into a pattern. I truly could not be more happier with how it turned out. I know Shelby is a fan of it too!
Also, fun fact, Shelby has been filling Pen + Paper orders for me for the last two years. If you've purchased a printed copy of one of my patterns, she's the one who filled it! Having an almost weekly excuse to hang out while we fill orders has been pretty great. Work is exponentially more enjoyable when you get to do it with your bff 💛
Another fun fact, I added the Flower block to the design because flowers are one of my favorite things in the entire world. This pattern is not only in honor of Shelby, but also a representation of our friendship.

HI,
I am in the process of cutting out material for your Hello Spring pattern baby quilt. Although I have made numerous baby quilts in the past, I am finding your instructions complicated and difficult to follow. On page 7 (for the ladybug block diagram) for I* you ask for two 2″ × 1 1/2" strips. I would have thought that antennae 1" wide (with 2 × 1/4" seam allowances) would be too wide. I would have thought that they needed to be 1/2" wide (with 2 × 1/4" seam allowances).
