Back in May, my best friend and I drove up north to Flagstaff for a girl's weekend. While we were there, we ate at a local restaurant called The Toasted Owl Cafe. The entire restaurant, from top to bottom, was filled with owl-themed items. They went ALL IN haha It was then I decided I needed to design an owl quilt. Out of all the bird species they are arguably the cutest.
I even took a photo of one the owl items in the restaurant, an Owl cookie jar (center in the photo below), because I thought it was the cutest. This is what I ended up basing the Night Owl design off of!
The Night Owl quilt pattern is available in PDF or printed format HERE! Save 10% on the pattern + all other items on my site (including kits and handmade quilts!) until the 18th when you use the discount code NIGHTOWL10.
The Night Owl quilt is traditionally pieced and recommended for the confident beginner sewist and up. The pattern includes instructions for making two sizes - Throw (51 1/2" x 62 1/2") and Bed (70" x 86"). The 19-page pattern is complete with block diagrams, labels for organizing your cuts of fabric, step-by-step detailed instructions, and colorful illustrations.
The Night Owl quilt is made up of two blocks, the Owl block and Leaf block! Both measure 8" x 10 1/2".
A quilt kit for the version above can be purchased HERE!
