Kris Kringle Sewalong - Week 2

It's week two of the sewalong! We have all our pieces cut out so now we're doing the fun part - sewing! 💃

This week we're making our first seven Kris Kringle blocks. Here are mine!

I know, only one block is actually visible haha Next week I'll make sure to get a shot of them all together 📸❤

In case you missed last week's newsletter, I shared a video on my favorite way to piece the flying geese blocks and an alternative way for making the pom-poms above the hats. I've included that video in this week's newsletter as well!

I'm sharing my newest video, Glue Basting VS Pinning, as well. Something you might find helpful when making your Kris Kringle blocks.

AND I've link to my other video (basically I'm just sharing all my videos 😂) that explains how I like to snowball my corners. Something you'll be doing A LOT in the Kris Kringle quilt. In the video I am sewing on my old Brother machine, but, thankfully, now that I have my Janome Horizon Memory Craft machine I no longer have to raise and lower my needle manually every time I snowball. Which makes it SO MUCH easier and less frustrating 😆🙌 If you have a machine that struggles with sewing angled seams or feeding fabric in general, you might find that video helpful!
