A recent finish of mine that I'm finally getting around to posting! My crib size Grizzly Grove quilt! More details about the quilt are below! 🐻💛
PS The crib size is fat quarter friendly! A fun way to use up your stash and, in my very biased opinion, it looks cute in all kinds of color palettes.
You can audition various color palettes in the quilt by creating a digital mock up on PreQuilt.com!
The quilt was made in Robert Kaufman Kona solids! The names of the solids I used are: Colors 1 - 5 = Primrose, Pickle, Ballet Slipper, Yarrow, and Punch, Color 6 = Grizzly, Color 7 = Bone, and Color 8 = Roasted Pecan
The quilting was done by Stuph From Steph using the Honey Honey panto. I think this panto is a perfect fit with a nature themed baby quilt.
The backing is unfortunately a really old print from my stash. I think this print is a pretty great alternative though!
For the crib size, I used the bonus FPP pattern for the flying geese borders. Going that route made for a really stress-free sewing experience. Unless you love making flying geese blocks, I highly recommend using the FPP pattern instead! A link to download the FPP pattern can be found on Page 1 of the pattern.
A full shot of the quilt! You can see this quilt in person at By & By's QuiltCon booth next month!
